Can self-improvement fix depression?

Integrity > Clout

Can self-improvement fix depression? the answer to that, is yes. you probably expected me to give you this whole breakdown analysis stuff & tell you the politically correct answer witch is no but I would be a liar if I said that.

The Truth

The truth no one wants to hear is that self-improvement can fix or drastically improve your mental health & reduce depression. people see depression as this unbeatable thing that strikes you at random, & most people think this because depression gives them a get-out-of-jail-free card to do nothing. “I can’t start that business because I’m depressed, “ I can’t go to the gym because I’m depressed “ when in reality you are depressed because you aren’t going to the gym, you are depressed because you haven’t started that business. negative self-esteem, worth & value stems from your actions, do you think a fat slob that has low testosterone & plays video games all day in his mom's basement is happy? Of course not. That guy is depressed, not because depression is unbeatable & shot at random, but because he’s doing negative actions & habits, compare that to someone who is working out, meditating, learning & being productive. He ain’t gonna have perfect mental health, but he’s going to have better mental health than the fat video game addict. Simply because he’s doing things that are improving his physical & mental health.

The Law of Action

You have to do things that reflect you positively because thoughts & actions go together, they intertwine so if you do positive actions, you will, in turn, have a more positive mindset which will naturally result in better self-esteem & will lead to more positive action. & this applies to negative actions as well, negative habits will cause negative thoughts & self-esteem. Self-esteem is having respect & confidence in one's worth or abilities & your not going to get that if your eating happy meals & playing league of legends.

Doing positive habits like working out, meditating & being productive might not completely cure your depression, but it will improve it.

Most people don’t even get clinical depression, they just feel sad & label it as depression to have an excuse to do nothing with their lives, and to take this a step further, most people don’t even get anything to truly be depressed about. Most people reading this are in a 1st world country. With parents & money, what are you depressed about, people are starving in Africa bro. Your problems aren’t worth being depressed about, and if you are depressed, then, start doing positive actions, and start developing yourself so you can improve your mental health. you can sit & dwell or take action over your life. It’s as simple as that doc.
