Doers vs thinkers | The DayDreaming Disease
Most people think about doing something but don’t do it.
Most people think about doing something but don’t do it. They think about going to the gym but “ahhhh the gym is too far away & I have no time for it.” They think about going after that girl but “ahhh she probably only likes guys over 6 feet”.
These people think but never do.
You compare this to people that think but do as well, they use the law of thinking in conjunction with the law of action which leads to efficiency & success.
Thinking is great don’t get it twisted, but once you put it into action, that’s when it’s applied to the physical world.
Anyone great would not be where they were if they didn’t take action. Thinking gets your gears turning but action uses the gears & puts them into effect.
The DayDream
Sadly most people think or daydream in better terms, instead of putting their thoughts or visions into action.
The daydreaming disease which essentially most people have is one of the root causes of not advancing towards your goals, day by day, your dream of doing that thing but not taking action on it. you are digging a bigger rut for yourself, which gets more difficult to get out of as time goes on because of the compound effect.
The daydreaming disease or syndrome is when your thinking, basically dreaming about something that you want to do but won’t take action on. (Examples: asking that girl out, asking your boss for a pay rise etc…) Now, most People only do this when there not satisfied with their real-life & have to daydream to escape it for a while.
But you have to Get rid of the victim mentality, where you the victim of every situation including your thoughts & start doing what you thinking.
The Root Factor
Most regrets come from not the things we did, but the things we didn’t do, so thinking but not doing will naturally make you a regretful person.
The root of Discipline comes from doing what you say & sticking to it no matter what, when you think or say that you're going to the gym & you go, no questions asked, that’s discipline but you can’t properly do that if your not doing what your thinking.
You don’t want to be one of those people that always say, “oh I'm going to do that, it’s just that I can’t right now because of X” when in reality that’s just an excuse & they know they're never going to do it because there a thinker, not a doer.
Now obviously you don’t wanna do every single thought you have in your head but If there’s a prominent thought that will enhance your life that you can applicably act on now. Then act on it.
